How To Buy Online
1. Obtain your eyeglasses prescription
You will first need to have your eyes tested by an optometrist to get your prescription. This is a free service using your Medicare card or private health cover, and takes only 15 minutes. This test is free through Medicare once every two years. The optometrist must, by law, provide you with a clear, readable copy of your prescription. Please ask them to provide you with your PD as well. Just Like going to a Doctor, it is normal practice to get your prescription filled somewhere other than the place you had your test.
If you already have a prescription please make sure that it is not overdue. You can only use the same prescription for the period of two years.
2. Choose your glasses
Once you have selected a piar of frames from our product range which you like, you should check the measurements so the glasses will fit you. You can either compare the dimesions to your face, or to a previous pair of glasses.
You should then fill in the other frame and lens options, followed by your prescription. There are certain error checking functions in place, but you should double check all details before continuing. All form fields have a question mark on the right hand side, by clicking on it you can get a detailed information about particullar field and what to include in it.
When you have completed the order form, add the glasses to your cart and then continue to the checkout.
3. Payment and Shipping

Handy things to keep in mind
- Ensure that you not only have a correct, up-to-date prescription, but also that you input every detail correctly. A wrong decimal point or + or – symbol can make a huge difference to the accuracy of your lenses.
- If you want to see which frame types suit you in ‘real life’, you can always wander into your local optical store and try-on some frames without the intention of buying anything. They can’t force you to make a purchase. Plus, think of this as a way of regaining some of the money you ‘lost’ from buying expensive glasses from optical stores in the past.
- If you are still worried about your eyeglasses not suiting you, the best thing to do is research. The internet provides endless information about types of frames and what shapes, designs and colors suit certain people. It’s very likely that the more research you do prior to making your purchase, the happier you’ll be with the end result.
